What is the Gospel and do I need it?
God created YOU and holds you accountable to His law.
“For by Him (Jesus) all things were created, . . . all things have been created through Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:16
“He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness . . .” Acts 17:31
Our sin creates a PROBLEM.
“There is none righteous, not even one; . . . There is none who seeks for God.”
Romans 3:10,11
“. . . for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God . . .” Romans 3:23
God, being holy, will not turn a blind eye on your SIN.
“Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire.” Matthew 25:41
“. . . for He (the Lord) is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in His faithfulness.” Psalm 96:13
Jesus is the ANSWER to your problem.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.’” John 14:6
Faith and repentance are the RESPONSES necessary for salvation.
“If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
“Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19
WHEN should you trust Jesus and repent?
“Behold, now is ‘The acceptable time,’ behold, now is ‘The day of salvation.’”
2 Corinthians 6:2
If you trust in Jesus and repent, you will receive God’s FREE GIFT.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is ETERNAL LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS our Lord.” Romans 6:23
